ROSS CAISLEY Wow, a year already. Thought I would give you an update, Well, I made it! I was a little nervous so I pulled out the Halo card at my interview and said I was a Saint before .. pretty cheesy eh? My Grandma's and Grandpa were waiting with hugs and kisses but the first one to greet me was little Bandit looking for a belly rub. Guess whose leg is getting a little loving at the dinner table now, Mom. For one of my duties here, they took my love for music and my education background and have me giving harp appreciation sessions for the newcomers. I am still writing, singing and playing music. I have met some other guys who share my interests and we get together and rock out, we are no Griswolds. Funny how music changes. A song that we used to play that was one on my least favorites to perform, in fact I used to call it jokingly, the cougar dance ditty, has now become one of my favorites. It floods me with warm memories and brings a smile to my face. Love you Mom, my Brown Eyed Girl!! So next time you hear a song that tugs your emotional heartstrings , whether on the radio, live by a band or on a quiet night it seems to be coming from the heavens, let those vocal cords rip. I will be listening. There is so much more I would like to write but I promised to keep it short because I am charging this to my Faja's dime, Mr. Thrifty. By the way, I hear the mothballs may by coming off Transcona Girl, congratulations Leanne and Chris. (signature drink, think Algonquin). To all my family and friends, I love you and miss you. See you all on the flip side .. keep it real, Rossco.
